once again i'm bitching about things i don't like

the worst possible thing you could do to me is give me a cool new character that could theoretically be from a new show who is clearly introduced like i'm supposed to know who the fuck they are, give them every trait i like, and then turn out to be writing a canon character i actually like just... so out of character. why would you do that

this is actually about star wars.

also why do people do that thing where they assign a character a new name and then pretend like we all know it. like. "Commander Kote" how the fuck am I supposed to know that's supposed to be Cody. "Fucked up chaos gremlin ice cold bastard with really confusing emotions who behaves like a robot and regularly shuts down to analyze things" is completely out of character for Cody and I pronoune that word like "Coat" in the first place, how was I supposed to know that that was just the worst fanon Cody on the planet. What the fuck.

i am so sour. i love this writer's Kote but he isn't my BOY and he isn't anywhere i can find him because he's like one step back from an oc. and like, if he was an oc that'd be fine but I was MISLED into thinking he was a character from the new Clone show and he's Not.
