redthedragoni'm trying to test my new printer by writng a letter in my conlang to print out, because i only have lined paper that won't kill this printer and i want to test the way script looks in it, and... well...
mostly i'm here to list off words with particularly pleasant mouthfeel i've made up over the last few days
orthography information:
you can't write a vowel at the start of the word so you need a "silent h" which i've not denoted today but i do sometimes; (h) is Not Quite a Letter. it's also usef for when a set of two vowels are nexst to each other but they're not a dipthong, which i haven't actually denoted anywhere.
'/q (not used as q here) is a sort of alveolar click sound. everyone who speaks this is a sort of weird lizard bird, they can chirp if i say so.
j is IPA ʒ, like the g in gge
list of words i think are good to say:
- shyryxymek, "to hope (maybe)"
- ekimymek , "around three"
(the -ymek ending indicates uncertainty/vagueness)
- tananakimayla, a specific kind of magic boat engine that uses rechargable batteries for fuel
- istel tai mys nelai, sort of singsong phrase that means (roughly) "i'll get you something"

Me and Nazarel are going to Hudson soon! We’re going to be there in about three days. The whole Midnight King won’t be stopping there because it would be a not-good negotiation position (colloquialism; lit: campfire-welcoming decor) if the ship was at Hudson’s docks. It’ll definitely be a negotiation I seven at (colloquial wink-word; means “win unexpectedly or maybe cheat at” in context). I can pick up some stuff for you if you tell me what stuff.
