I've done some more Stuff to this poor model >:3
now featuring: flesh bubbles!

I'd like to figure out how to make the eyes less round, but that's going to take more skill than I quite have at the moment (which is alright, honestly). Instead I think I'm going to see about rigging the model so I can make this effect appear when an object "hits" him. and/or give him a more in-character expression than whatever's on his face at the moment.

A man facing slightly away from the camera. He has long red hair that whips around wildly. His flesh appears to bulge outward and then pop to show an eyeball appearing in the center of each bubble. Then the eyes go away.

Ooo, I wonder if you could just throw a noise channel on the shape node and make them all wiggly that way
