I've done some more Stuff to this poor model >:3
now featuring: flesh bubbles!
I'd like to figure out how to make the eyes less round, but that's going to take more skill than I quite have at the moment (which is alright, honestly). Instead I think I'm going to see about rigging the model so I can make this effect appear when an object "hits" him. and/or give him a more in-character expression than whatever's on his face at the moment.

Ooo, I wonder if you could just throw a noise channel on the shape node and make them all wiggly that way

I did goof around with a randomize attribute node set to scale, but it didn't do what I was looking for, and honestly I think just using an oriented displacement node on the flesh ball underneath the eyeballs to create a sort of diamond-shaped opening is probably the way to go, as opposed to actually shaping the eyeballs themselves.
