Written in Blood updated again! Read Chapter 4: the Scarlet Banquet, wherein Rex gets a well meaning but very human servant whose job is not even dressing anyone any more to tell him how to dress like a person because he's wearing his clothing backwards, and then tacked onto the end is the actual banquet. most of this is just Rex and Marian (a throwaway character) fumbling through a conversation.
Behind the scenes, Marion leaves this experience and tells all her servant friends that Rex, that new king guy, he's actually shockingly nice. A far cry from what that awful Joe man was like. And all of her friends, who work in the kitchens and thus were there to see him casually drink his wine while everyone else was panicking after he announced to their faces their imminent demises and then just get tired of the noise, or something, turn into a massive lizard and run around the hall knocking people over so that the other dragons could put them in cuffs, those people just look at her like she is nuts.
