the reason dreamwidth is The Only Good SocMed is because it's like not really a social media and it's hard to be found, so we can live here like centipedes under our own rocks doing whatever we want. or at least that's the draw for me. and it's great, it's nice, it's close knit, i feel like i know all the people i interact with and etc, like, we're not Friends friends necessarily but if i saw you guys at the supermarket i would stop and chat whereas if i saw most of my tumblr mutuals at the supermarket i would just get my groceries and go.

but at the same time... :( there is so little happening here at any time :( bc i cant find new people and they can't find me :(

anyway have an animation of a deer killing the shit out of some zombies to round this clusterfuck of a post off. i drew most of this days ago but it didn't clear the requirements for the game i drew it for so i had to add birds and shit.

Yeah I get what you mean. I'm not sure how to convince more people to use Dreamwidth-I think lack of a usable mobile phone interface does put people off. Frustratingly most people don't want to use it because it's not very active, but the only way to get it more active is it more people use DW.

But at the same time the fact that DW is quite quiet is one of the reasons I like being here. I don't have to worry about all the drama nonsense that I seem to have attracted with my controversial views like 'harassment is bad actually'.

I really need to put some effort into finding more active people who are transformers fans on here to be honest though. :P

Yeah, same. I bullied a friend into making an account but I don't think that friend has ever actually used it DX
But to be fair, DW is also a very different kind of interaction than most tumblr/twitter/etc. There's no passive interaction. That shit's hard for people who have gotten used to just quietly liking and reblogging/retweeting rather than commenting or speaking with their like. words. lol

Also same, honestly. If it were hopping with activity i would want to go crawl away to somewhere else. but also it is not hopping enough. i want it to hop a little bit more.

There really aren't a lot of us unfortunately. I've been poking around the interest search function on and off for the last several months and there are really not a lot of us.
