Genuine request. (Yes, really). Please send me whatever you think the most possibly disturbing thing you can find is (to be read, not like. videos. sorry). I would like to be profoundly shaken a little bit.
Like, idk, I read things that knock my entire brain on its side for fun and I've slowly and effectively become much more immune to getting my brain knocked on its side any more by things that aren't like "profound and alarming changes to interpretation of real life stimulus" these days, and sometimes you just want to walk around with your brain buzzing all wonky without it also doing things like "making you think there are people in your house" or "ruining your ability to see the color blue for a few days"
....maybe not anything that deals with specifically people hiding in other people's houses unnoticed actually. Don't think that would have the intended result. But anything else!

We had to stop reading after the first fic freaked us out so much we got nauseous. We’re using ‘we’ because it affected us so much we all like responded to it strongly. It’s really well written psychological and body horror, there’s some romance and one sex scene but it isn’t obnoxious.
We want to try read the next fics in the series but in the daytime only lol.

It involves a chunk of body horror and psychological horror. However I think its most disturbing part is the way that the visual and narrative horror is metaphor for the existential horror of close personal relationships and the way trauma is carried.
It is based off a book, but is so different from the book from what I’ve gathered that it is best understood as its own separate work.
