Come take my survey, it's anonymous!
I'm just like, curious about how people feel about being followed, unfollowed, and/or blocked on social media. This isn't going to really go anywhere (other than a few visually pleasing graphs i'll share with interested parties, but like, not research or nothing. all just good fun) and has no bearing on anything, but surveys are fuuuuun. if you are like me.
Anyways if you want to, it should only take a few minutes and data is fun! data collection is fun! surveys are fun! it's like a game except at the end of the day there is numbers and graphs instead of prizes LMAO

Edited for anonymizing purposes + data sanitization (some people are including things that are not actually answers to the question, or writing "n/a" on questions that they can just skip), so these aren't all just the graphs straight from Google Sheets. Some of the data changed while i was literally in the process of doing this as I got new responses, so they're also a little scattered.
(this one was an enormous headache to make so i'm not doing the fill-in questions at this time again. it updated while i was mid-graph. terrible. and then deleted all my data when i tried to change it to a scatter plot or bar graph)
(question was "If you have ever been unfollowed by someone you would consider a friend, does this (for you) constitute a friendship-ending event in and of itself? Does it have ramifications for your friendship?")
(question was "If you have ever been blocked by someone you would consider a friend, does this (for you) constitute a friendship-ending event in and of itself? Does it have ramifications for your friendship?")
(question was "If you have ever unfollowed or blocked someone in your friend group for expressing opinions that are significantly different from the held views in your friend group, why would you (generally) say that you had done that?")
I hope this is a) legible and b) interesting! It took me a while to sanitize a lot of the useless responses and fit them in where they belonged, lol.

And I would like to give you a graph in return, but unless you're interested in trans headcanons in the SK8 The Infinity fandom...

Disclaimers: This data was gathered a couple months ago, and has almost certainly changed since then. I gathered this data by going to the SK8 tag on Ao3 and filtering for "Trans Character", so if it wasn't tagged, I didn't get it. I remember leaving a few fics out, either because they weren't written in English and the tags didn't make it clear who was trans and in what direction, or because it was an unfinished multichap and the fic hadn't gotten to the part with Trans Content yet.
The first graph is All Trans Fics, regardless of gender.
The second one is exclusively for NB Fics ("nb fics" being defined as anything other than binary trans, this includes tags like "he/they character x, yes i know gender is more complicated than this)
Also, when I checked, there were two trans lady fics. One had trans woman Cherry and the other had trans woman Tadashi.

I have a couple questions-
1) do you have the full number of fics sampled for each of those charts lying around anywhere? I unfortunately am exactly the kind of person who wants to have (or at least the option to have, via math) all of the numbers in regular numbers and in percents
2) Do you have the legend for the first chart around? the narrow pink stripe, the narrow yellow stripe and the narrow green stripe are all unlabeled :(
Also that's interesting; I guess trans!Reki (Reki being essentially the audience stand-in and very good at that in my opinion) makes sense being the big one but I would've expected Adam to take a bigger number of those. Maybe that's just my internal bastard asshole brain going "ah, i love him, he is relatable. transmasc bastard just like me"
...oh, or people might be avoiding writing it on account of it maybe tripping over transphobic nonsense. Do you happen to know if any of those were posted by orphaned accounts/anonymously? I guess I can probably go look on the archive myself LOL

And also, yes, I too was very disappointing in the lack of Adam content (just as an experiment, I filtered out "Shindo Ainosuke | Adam Bashing" and it dropped the results noticably)

(Now I want to see it on like two superimposed line graphs. Maybe I'll do that once I have slept.)
Re: Adam Bashing: Woooow. ...okay to be fair I've gone out of my way to avoid the sk8 fandom solely because I expected the fans to have bad taste and be wrong and bad about their opinions on The Characters I Like, as usual, but. Mm. Don't like that LMAO.

B: wise choice. everyone is stupid and Wrong About Adam. (even some of his "fans" but we're not going to get into that)

Genuinely kind of shocked. I am going to have so much fun with this data. I'm already getting people making extremely sweeping statements that are completely at odds in some of the fill-in response areas, too, which is GREAT. i love to see it.

Also, semi-relatedly, if I forgot to add a piece of info in my data (forgot to mention a social media), there's probably no way to add it back in without filling out the form again, yeah? Don't want to skew it, but obvs just telling you the info would break the anonymity of the data.

Honestly, a lot of the stuff people are adding in are outside the scope of the data. Like, if you were going to mention Discord (as apparently 90% of my respondents are), I can't do anything with that, because you don't have the option to follow or unfollow anyone on there. A lot of the non-listed social medias are just going to get lumped under "other".

In that case, I have nothing to add!
