Motormaster is legitimately actually functionally illiterate. No one has ever bothered to explain to him that if every time you read a paragraph your eyes somehow jump straight to the bottom and you can't process letters individually, something might be up, so he just figures everyone does this. He is convinced that Soundwave and the info-distributing parts of High Command are just trying to make him look stupid when they give him things to read when they could obviously just be a perfectly normal data download. He gets by alright because he just has Dead End read everything he's expected to read over and then gets a summary from him but at some point someone will have to eventually clue him in, because god knows he's not actually going to ask for help.
